Associations of Spanish teachers
American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese AATSP
the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese (AATSP) has promoted the study and teaching of Hispanic, Luso-Brazilian, and other related languages, literatures, and cultures at all educational levels. Through an exchange of pedagogical and scholarly information, the AATSP encourages heritage and second-language study and supports projects to that end.

The objective is to meet to all the faculty and teachers of the different languages and its literatures that have the purpose to promote and to intensify the investigation and the teaching of said matters.
OATSP OREGON ASSOCIATION OF TEACHERS OF SPANISH AND PORTUGUESE
The Oregon Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese is the Oregon branch of the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese. Its members include instructors of Spanish or Portuguese in both public and private schools at all educational levels from elementary schools to colleges and universities. OATSP is dedicated to promoting Spanish and Portuguese language instruction in the state of Oregon. The Association provides a support network for language teachers and facilitates communication about new developments in second language instruction and about changes in state and national requirements. OATSP collaborates with other state an national language organizations to provide professional development opportunities for language instructors and to provide an arena for the exchange of ideas and information about issues that affect language instruction in our state.
Manitoba Association of Teachers of Spanish (MATS)
The Manitoba Association of Teachers of Spanish was officially formed in April, 1998, but has been active informally since September, 1997. Its goal is to promote and advance the teaching of the Spanish language and Hispanic cultures in the Province of Manitoba and to provide means of exchanging ideas and encouraging any activities that enhance this educational goal.
